"Who lives in The House of Maltese?" Welcome to our House of Maltese puppy website. My name is Wendy and I am the proprietor of House of Maltese. I and my two youngest of six children live in a house that was built around the same time the first Maltese dogs came to this country, circa 1870's, in a small, quiet Virginia town near the border of North Carolina. The children are fast approaching the age of independence, and anticipating an empty nest I have been refilling it with little four-legged puppy friends who are by their nature forever young.

Our Maltese dogs and their puppies keep me busy and provide a fullness to my life out here in the country. They live in our home, with us, and our Maltese puppies are raised by their amazing little mothers until they are ready to go to their new homes. I watch over the babies and their watchful mothers, making sure that they get abundant warmth, sustenance, nurturing and love. This is a labor of love for me, so when placing them in their new homes I carefully consider the needs of my Maltese puppies and their prospective owners. Interested parties are required to furnish references and must undergo a comprehensive interview with me.
